The Cottage was once a barn and has been converted into a guesthouse about 20 years ago. It features high ceilings, beams and a very warm atmosphere throughout.

The main bedroom reflects the taste of the 17th century with chalky grey painted walls.

Its main attraction is the imposing 17th century Oak Full Tester bed which measures 196cm in length and is 144cm wide. One wall is covered by a 17th century Signed Brussels Tapestry, depicting a woodland landscape and a pair of peacocks. The main bedroom further houses a 17th century truckle bed, various 17th century chairs, a 17th century chest of drawers, 2 17th century tables, 2 17th century stools and a 19th century display case with a selection of authentic souvenirs for purchase.

The smaller bedroom houses a Full Tester bed from about 1600. It measures about 193cm in length and 140cm in width. Further 17th century furniture includes a Charles II aside table, a stool, a coffer, a bible box on a stand and a Wainscot Chair.

The living area features a sitting corner, comprising 4 17th century arm chairs and a TV & DVD player. There is an impressive selection of 16th & 17th century related DVDs to choose from. The dining area features a marble top 17th century table and 4 late 17th century chairs. There is also a large dated court cupboard (1666), a monk's bench and a converted 17th century Fall front Bureau.

The kitchen as well as the bathroom are all new, as all enthusiasts of the earlier time also enjoy a bit of modern comfort ! The bathroom offers a big shower but no bath.

The kitchen is equipped for all self catering needs such as a fridge and a washing machine, coffee maker, toaster and a microwave. Central heating throughout.
