I have been restoring early furniture and pottery for more than a decade now ( having completed various courses over the years ) and it is due to the restoration that I have learnt about pitfalls, fakes and           " cover ups ". I do not accept restoration commissions but buy     " projects" and give them a new lease of life. On occasion, I decide to sell the finished piece.
